Self-preservation... foregiveness...
I fail to see a direct relationship between the two. It's not as if you have to take either one or the other.
I feel as if I should say that self-preservation is inherent in each human being, but I know that is not the case. There's people out there who seem to be struggling to keep themselves whole and hale while in reality they're courting danger, they're their own worst enemies. Or maybe they're just screaming for someone to step in to help them save themselves. Cause they cannot do it on their own. To keep alive they have to fight themselves, so they need someone to do it for them.
I am not one of them. I'm willing to fight for myself. And for any of my friends who might need help.
Forgiveness...
Is it something really? Or is it that when you forgive it is because you don't really care about what has happened?
To you.
To someone you care for.
Forgiveness is lack of care, indifference.
I might forgive something that's been done to me, and if I do it it will mean it was not something that hurt deeply.
I would never forgive something done to someone I care for.
So maybe the connection is this. You start out thinking of how it affects you, and you end up thinking of how what you do will affect others.
